Steps is a club for young people with learning disabilities aged between 11 and 19. The children come with a variety of different needs. Steps offers these children a safe environment, which is non-threatening and secure, enabling them to develop their social skills. The activities encourage the children to lead activities and use their skills, thus giving them confidence. (for further information click on Steps)

Riversiders (age 18 plus) is a flourishing leisure club with increasing membership (presently over 70) who meet each Tuesday from 4.00pm to 8.00pm at Kendal Day Centre. There are about 48 sessions each year. They participate in a variety of different activities and they have free choice of what they want to do on any evening. The service users are encouraged to develop their life skills by taking responsibility for the running of the facilities as much as possible. 18 - 30    (Age 18 t0 30) They meet about once a month to do various activities.There is no fixed day for the activities. It depends on the activity. Members are involved in deciding the activities. (for further information click on 18-30)

Sporting Activities (14+) Meet at Kendal Leisure Centre on a Wednesday evening for 4.30pm until 6.00pm. There are 2 groups a football group and a group that takes part in different sporting activities.(for further information click on sports and football)
